Carbon Capture and Sequestration
Since 2008, Blade has been involved in CCS projects, across a range of engineering activities, from subsurface to field development. Blade has also made fundamental contributions to engineering and analysis for CCS projects, and has published several papers in this area.
Geothermal
Blade has been active in geothermal well engineering since at least 2004. During this period, Blade has successfully performed several projects for clients around the world. Blade has made several fundamental contributions to geothermal well engineering, and has disseminated knowledge and understanding of these advances to the wider industry through papers, presentations, and training courses.

MPD & UBD
At the onset of forming Blade, we knew that Managed Pressure and Underbalanced Drilling would represent the future of drilling. We provide a complete range of annular pressure control engineering services including Underbalanced Drilling (UBD), Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) and Mud Cap Drilling. Quantification of the benefits of UBD and MPD is a focus and expertise of Blade.
Pipeline Integrity
Pipeline Integrity is a core service for Blade Middle East LLC. Blade engineers on an average have over 15 to 20 years of experience in pipeline integrity from an operator’s perspective and services perspective. This normally translates to a value-added engineering solution for pipeline operators.

Root cause analysis (RCA) is a method of problem solving used for identifying the root cause(s) of a problem or event. A complex problem can have multiple root causes. Identification and removal of the root cause(s) prevents reoccurrence of the event.
